Your #LaunchAmerica crew has arrived!

After launching at 7:27 p.m. EST on Nov. 15, NASA's SpaceX Crew-1 crew has safely arrived at the International Space Station for a long-duration mission.

Mike Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, and Soichi Noguchi docked to the station at 11:01 p.m., and Kate Rubins opened the hatch at 1:02 a.m.

During their welcome ceremony, commander Hopkins remarked, “We’re looking forward to the next 6 months and can’t wait to get started!" It is Hopkins and Walker's second visit to the station and Soichi Noguchi's third. Mission pilot Victor Glover arrived today for the very first time.

This mission marks the first time the space station’s long duration expedition crew size will increase from six to seven crew members, which will allow the crew to complete even more scientific investigations.
