This footage was shot when Charon the German Shepherd puppy med Speedy the emu for the first time and everything went splendidly. And why wouldn't it – Charon is the son of Thorin, another German Shepherd dog who is famous for his impeccable ability to make friends easily with any and all kinds of birds! He's been known to make friends with baby chicks, with baby goslings, even with a turkey chick!That is some good upbringing!

German Shepherd dogs are actually great at guarding, that is the main reason why they are the number one police dog world wide! They are well renowned for their protectiveness over family members and when that family includes some kind of animal, their protectives includes those members of the family as well. These two look like they will be the best of friends though, amazing!
