'Mega Talent' Ukrainian pilot killed in aircraft collision was desperate to fly F-16 jets

One of the Ukrainian fighter pilots who died in a mid-air crash told Sky News in February how much he wanted to fly a F-16 jet to fight the Russians.

'Mega talent' Andriy Pilshchykov, nicknamed 'Juice' was killed alongside two other pilots when two L-39 combat training aircraft collided over a region west of Kyiv.

Mr Pilshchykov told Sky's Deborah Haynes he wanted to fly F-16 fighter jets as the force needed "proper tools" to make a difference to the war.
