Creamy Garlic Chicken
500 grams chicken breasts cut in thick cubes or strips
2 tbsp. flour (maida)
2-3 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. cooking oil
1 medium sized garlic, peeled and cloves sliced in half 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chicken stock or 1 chicken cube dissolved in water 2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 cup cream
1 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper
1 tsp salt or to taste
Mix herbs for garnish
1 cup spinach, chopped
Method:
(The flame will be on medium-low throughout)
In a pan take 1 tbsp butter and oil. Fry the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes until it changes colour.
Remove the chicken from the pan and in the same pan add the remaining butter, add garlic and sauté a little.
Add flour, keep stirring while adding milk and chicken stock, Add lemon juice, pepper, salt & garlic powder. Add cream and mix followed by adding the chicken pieces back to the pan. Sprinkle mix herbs, add spinach and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened. Serve!
