Description
Wat Khao Tiam is located at U Thong Subdistrict, U Thong District, Suphan Buri Province. It is an old temple since ancient times, and it is assumed to be the first temple in Thailand. 300 years after the Lord Buddha's death, Phra Moggalli Butr Tissa Thera has performed the 3rd synagogue with King Asoka the Great as a patron in Pataliputra, and sent envoys to the Arahant Panchawakey namely Phra Sana, Muni Thera, Chani Thera, Phuri Thera and Uttara Thera; to propagate Buddhism to the city of Suvarnabhumi, and inscribed in the ancient Sanskrit language that: "Pusayakiri" or "Pusayakhiri" means "mountain flowers" because on the mountain, there are beautiful flowers consisting of Suphannika (cotton anchor) flowers, wild operas, three colors. It is amazing that the name Pusayakhiri is synonymous with Mount Pusayakhiri Sangkaram in Sanjee, Orissa state.

History
It is the largest, most beautiful and oldest Buddha image carved in the world; it was founded by Phra Thep Suwan Moli (Sing Sirintho, Por.Thor.8) at Suphan Buri Province primate, had an intention to establish the world's largest mountain-carved Buddha image at Phu Pha Dragon (Circle) in the ancient city of U-Thong, U-Thong District, Suphan Buri Province. By the reasons consistent with the area that Fine Arts Department confirmed as "It was the beginning of the propagation of Buddhism in the land of Suvarnabhumi", and archaeological evidence proves that King Ashoka of India sent Phra Sona and Uttara Thera in the early 3rd Buddhist century, as evidenced on the stone inscription of "Pusayakhiri" and "Dharma Chakra on top of the Asoke Pillar"
