You're locked out and can't get back inside? Then a shoelace can help you get back into the apartment. In this video, I'll show you how it works and how you can avoid the locksmith.

All you need is an open window. However, a tilted door will also work. Now grab a tape. Since you didn't take anything out with you, you could use a shoelace or even a waistband or the ribbon from a hoodie. Make a loop on one side and now wrap it around the handle.

Pull the ribbon to the other side, pull the window or door close and use the ribbon to slowly pull the handle to the position where you can open the window. The window is opened and you have saved yourself a locksmith and can get back into your apartment.
