The In-Between Kingdom: Messiah’s Coming Reign

God’s plan for the kingdom can be confusing at times. On the one hand, there are prophecies of security, prosperity, peace, and a return to Edenic conditions. We read of swords being turned into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks (Isa. 2:4). On the other hand, drought and plague punish nations that refuse to submit to the Messiah (Zech. 14:16-19). Perhaps most baffling is that the Messianic reign closes with a Satanically led attack on Jerusalem (Rev. 20:7-9). How are we to understand this?
