What are our favorite boots? #hiking #adventure

We have both had to upgrade our hiking boots in the last year and we picked the same kind! Lowa is the favorite for both of us!

Josh is a big guy and when we go backpacking he has a big pack, so his boots have a serious amount of weight on them! He’s went through several pairs of Keens which don’t last him long, maybe 6-8 months before they start falling apart. He loved his Keens because he had wide feet and was skeptical of trying a new brand but we found a boot that had good ankle support and had enough room for his wide feet. Even 16 months (and a ton of miles later) the Lowa boots he took a chance on are holding up great even in tough usage.

I had the opposite story, my first pair of hiking boots finally bit the bullet. I was ready to buy a new pair except….my old pair of boots were no longer manufactured (Ahnu). I had to find a new brand to give my loyalty to. I like have a narrow toe box so my feet don’t slide around and give me blisters, so I tried a few and found the most supportive and comfortable for me were the same brand Josh had bought!

Josh tends to be hard on boots and these have lasted twice as long as his previous pair of Keens. I was impressed there was a hard break-in period with my new boots! We love our Lowa boots!
