In a must-win game for both the teams to reach the Playoffs, it was expected to be a crackerjack of a game, and it was. The Nationals won the toss and decided to chase, putting the Knights to bat first.

The Knights' opening pair of Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman stepped into the middle, with Zaman Khan taking the new ball for the Nationals. A watchful start for the Knights was disturbed when Faheem Ashraf took Fakhar Zaman's wicket in the 2nd over. This brought the match-winning pair of Corbin Bosch and Mohammad Rizwan together. They both stitched a 62- run-partnership together before Farhan Malik trapped Corbin Bosch in front of the wicket. The very next over Shahid Afridi struck for the Nationals taking the prized wicket of Mohammad Rizwan. Then in his next over Afridi grabbed a straight-forward catch of the Knights' skipper Rassie van der Dussen on his own bowling. A couple of deliveries later, Sikandar Raza struck for the Nationals when he removed the dangerous Najibullah Zadran. At this point the Knights were struggling to get runs, then a brilliant knock from Harsh Thaker powered them to a fighting score of 128 in their 20 overs.

For the Nationals, it was the Canadian pair of Nicholas Kirton and the skipper Hamza Tariq to open the inning. The Nationals started off on a positive note and scored 31 runs in the first 3 overs. It was again Harsh Thaker who saved the Knights, but this time with the ball. He took 2 wickets in his first over, getting rid of both the Nationals openers. In the very next over, Junaid Siddique got 2 wickets in consecutive deliveries, to inflict more damage to the Nationals chase. It was Boom Boom time as Shahid Afridi walked to the middle. But his stay was short, as Corbin Bosch's fiery bouncer produced a false stroke from Afridi. The Nationals lost 5 wickets in a span of 13 runs and they couldn't recover after this. Darren Bravo was struggling from the start but hit a few lusty blows before perishing to the golden boy Harsh Thaker. A few blows from Zaman Khan, gave a slight hope but Corbin Bosch took his wicket and won the match for the Knights.

The Knights won the match by a margin of 25 runs.
