After a whole day of rain, followed by half a day of wet outfield. We lost 3 matches, as they were abandoned. This was a repeat fixture from the previous day that was lost due to rain. A shortened match it was a 6 overs per side game. The Nationals won the toss and chose to field first.

In a match, where you have to be in attack mode from the word go, who better than Chris Lynn and Muhammad Waseem to start off the innings. The Tigers' openers were watchful in the first over, facing Fazalhaq Farooqi, but unleashed their attack from the second over onwards. They took apart Saad bin Zafar, Zaman Khan, Sikandar Raza in the next 3 overs, scoring 53 runs. It was the experienced Faheem Ashraf who got the breakthrough for the Nationals, getting rid of the dangerous Muhammad Waseem. It was Zaman Khan who bowled a fantastic last over, under pressure he executed his plans with pinpoint accuracy. The Tigers posted a target of 78 for the Nationals.

The chase was set up in the very first over by Kaleem Sana for the Tigers. The Nationals openers Darren Bravo and JJ Smit had no answers to some tight bowling from Sana. With both the batters struggling to get going and the Tigers' bowlers executing their plans with precision. In an unusual move, the Nationals retired both their openers, sending Sikandar Raza and Hamza Tariq to finish an impossible task. The big West Indian, Andre Russell, bowled the penultimate over, giving away nothing and this made it more difficult for the Nationals to chase the target. It was Akif Raja who bowled the last over for the Tigers and successfully defended 37 runs off the final over.

The Tigers won the match by 23 runs.
