The stalwarts of T20 Cricket were up against each other. On one side, the Panthers have one of the most dangerous batting line-ups of the tournament. The Nationals have one of the best bowling line-ups of the tournament.

The story at the toss continued for the Panthers, with Shoaib Malik losing his consecutive 4th toss of the season. The Nationals once again bowled first and put the Panthers to bat. This time the Panthers changed their opening pair, with the Canadian Navneet Dhaliwal joining the Universe Boss Chris Gayle. The change did nothing to help the Panthers and their run of bad powerplay continued. The Panthers lost 3 wickets of Chris Gayle, Navneet Dhaliwal, Azam Khan, and Cameron Delport under 30 runs. The skipper Shoaib Malik along with James Neesham tried to resurrect the innings, with the pair stitching a 44-run partnership in 53 deliveries. Then a string of wickets in quick succession hampered the Panthers' momentum. It was spin for the Nationals that stopped the Panthers. Some late-order hitting from Tom Cooper helped the Panthers reach a respectable total of 115 runs.

The Nationals were on from the very first over. Colin Munro taking the attack to the Panthers was scoring at a rapid pace. Enjoying from the other end was Nicholas Kirton, who attempted a scoop shot, and played the ball into his own stumps. This did not stop Colin Munro from going berserk as he was looking to finish the chase in quick time. The Nationals lost 3 wickets in 9 runs but it was too late for the Panthers to make a comeback. The Nationals skipper Hamza Tariq played one crackling cover drive to finish off the match in style.

The Nationals won by 6 wickets.
