The Tigers' bowlers were on song from the start, removing both the openers in the first two overs. The Panthers seemed to be in deep trouble, having no answers to the disciplined bowling from the Tigers. Navneet Dhaliwal and Azam Khan had a little partnership between them, but soon Shakib Al Hasan removed the dangerous-looking Azam Khan. The Kiwi international Jimmy Neesham then joined Dhaliwal in the middle. Another little partnership between these settled the Panthers' momentum, but a string of wickets in quick succession hampered that momentum. The Tigers were looking comfortable in their chase. A moment of excellence from Azam Khan brought a little ray of hope to the Panthers' side when Azam removed Shakib with a lightning stumping. This didn't faze Chris Lynn a bit who was going at his own pace. With some assistance from Sherfane Rutherford, Chris Lynn finished off the chase with ease and in style.
