Once a Knight himself, Shoaib Malik now representing the Panthers walked out along with Rassie van der Dussen for the toss. The Knights won the toss and chose to bowl, just like their last match.

Tom Cooper and Chris Gayle came out to open the innings for the Panthers, with Corbin Bosch taking the new ball. Cooper was undone on the very first ball of the match with a perfect delivery, hitting him on the pads. Navneet Dhaliwal then came to the middle and played some cracking shots. It was Corbin Bosch again who delivered a peach, going right through Dhaliwal's defense. The Panthers were put on a backfoot courtesy of 2 quick wickets of Jaskarandeep Singh and Shoaib Malik. This brought the dangerous combination of Azam Khan and Chris Gayle together. This partnership was worth watching, Chris Gayle took a backseat and let Azam Khan express himself in the middle. Soon, the duo brought up a 100+ run partnership. Both of them posted 60+ scores, which helped them post a score of 158 on the board.

In the chase, Vriitya Aravind along with Fakhar Zaman walked out to open the innings. Just in the next over, Aravind fell for a leg-side trap. The Knights promoted their talented Canadian all-rounder, Harsh Thaker to number 3. Harsh was scoring swiftly and Fakhar was struggling at the other end, Usman Qadir from the Panthers ended Fakhar's suffering. The Knights skipper Rassie then joined the youngster and both started to score quick runs. Rassie continued from where he left off in the last match. Meanwhile, Thaker brought up his first 50 of GT20 Canada. With 43 runs needed off 35 balls, the Knights looked comfortable in their chase. Then Rassie trying to innovate, tried to play a reverse sweep off Usman Qadir, which went straight to Tom Cooper. The Knights lost 2 wickets in quick succession, making a comfortable chase tricky. With the Knights needing 10 off the last over, the ghosts of their last match came alive, but this time Harsh Thaker was there to take them Home.

The Knights won the match by 5 wickets.
