Putting a balloon in the toilet sounds somehow wrong, but it is a really ingenious idea, which I would like to show you here a little more detail. Because with the balloon we make our toilet cleaner than ever before.

To do this, you blow up a balloon, tie it in a knot and wrap a string around the knot. This is important so that you can get the balloon out of the toilet later. Then put a small piece of scotch tape on the balloon, this is also for later.

Now stuff the balloon into the drain pipe of your toilet. Now that it is clogged, you should mix 100 grams of citric acid with 1 liter of water and dump it into the toilet. Then continue to fill it up with water until it reaches below the rim.

This will also dissolve the lime wonderfully under the rim of the toilet, where you otherwise can not easily reach. Let it stand for several hours, during which time the citric acid can do its work.

When the time is up, pull the balloon out of the toilet and flush it again. Now everything is clean even under the rim! Where you stuck the piece of scotch tape on the balloon, you should pierce it with a needle.

This way the balloon will slowly lose its air and will not burst. Then you can dispose of it. If you have never done it before, you should try to clean your toilet with a balloon!
