Protesters rally against rising prices and poverty in Argentina

Thousands of people took to the streets of Buenos Aires to protest, calling for more assistance for welfare programs and soup kitchens amid rising prices and poverty across the country.
The government claims cuts are needed to welfare payments and other subsidies, following a deal with the IMF to reduce the deficit. Around 40% of the population lives in poverty, with annual inflation at over 100%.
