Ultima VII: The Black Gate — Bloodied Blades and Buxom Beauties | DOS [#04]

In the last stream the Avatar and his Companions trekked through the barren deserts of the Drylands to seek out Lord British's noble vessel, "The Golden Ankh" …and there, saw the consequences of his prior quest: the inherit differences of humans and gargoyles coming to a boiling point within the divided oasis port of Vesper, with the situation even coming to blows regarding some of the more hot-tempered residents!

At the helm of their new ship, the party crossed the waves and landed upon the shores of New Magincia, a town that prided itself in its humility as their remote location kept them out of the politics engulfing the mainland. New Magincia was not without troubles of their own, however, as the Avatar was called upon to reunite lost loves separated by the malicious plots of a greedy rogue. This, in turn, pointed the way towards Buccaneer's Den — once a refuge for pirates, now a commercial enterprise that enticed the wary to freely give up their gold through games of chance rather than steal it outright!

Unfortunately, the trail of the hook-handed suspect to the murder of Spark's father went cold as they lacked the funds necessary to partake of the elegant baths famed across the island. As such, attention was turned towards the mysterious disappearance of the father of Nastassia, caretaker of the Shrine of Compassion, so as to ease her own sorrowed heart. There, they befriended Tseramed the Ranger, a bowman famed for his poison-tipped arrows crafted from the stingers giant bees, as well as learned of the disappearance of Iolo's own wife, Gwenno, who had sought out a mysterious land known only as "The Serpent Isle."

Now the time has come to return to Buccaneer's Den… and the seas and lands beyond!
