Niger: Why Africans Must Reject Proxy War.

Today we discuss the crisis in Niger Republic and the hardening of positions by the parties involved.

We observe that foreign interests are backing military action in order to 're-instate' a President that has been deposed.

We note that the African Union is against military intervention. the vast majority of African nations are against any kind of military intervention in Niger.

The Senate of Nigeria is against military action.

Only ECOWAS [Economic Community of West African States] appears to be the only African organisation that is working hand in hand with foreign interests to wage a war of aggression in Niger.

We lend our voice on this channel to say: no proxy war in Niger.
