A personal note on pregnant body image:

Hi mamas-to-be! You are BEAUTIFUL. As you watch this video and think about your own maternity style just let me remind you what is real and true. What is real is that as a mom I spend A LOT of my time in random clothes that I have thrown on and within a few minutes are usually covered in food.. and paint (I have a 12 month old and a five year old home with us full time.) My hair is often dirty. I rarely feel fit and beautiful. I am not complaining or looking for pity I am just sharing what goes on when the camera is not looking, in case you are feeling fragile or insecure. We are all together in this. Growing a baby brings about so many physical changes and it can be hard to feel comfortable in our own skin. If you start to feel yourself comparing your pregnant body to mine or anybody else's take a second to turn off your devices and quiet your thoughts. Remind yourself, like I do, that it is a gift to grow a human and that your body is precious. Your pregnant body deserves to be loved and cared for. (As does your non-pregnant body!) All bodies are different and it only makes sense to dress them that way. What looks amazing on you may look silly on me and vice versa. If you watch this video and think, "Wow none of those outfits would look good on me.." That is NOT a problem. Your body is perfect. Dress in a way that flatters your unique maternal form and feel totally confident in that. I am cheering you on. You are beautiful. That is what is true. Let's do what we can to enjoy these bodies we have and raise children who have healthy body image too. You guys mean so much to me, the last thing I would want is for my content to make you feel any less beautiful, valuable, or worthy. Sooo much love to you and your growing family! - Jess
