This video is a rambly one of me sharing my thoughts about all the things that make the transition to motherhood challenging - less medical support for moms. Less emotional support for moms. Less clarity about how to help the new mom. New moms struggle to give up control of our baby to others. We don’t sleep or eat as well because our life becomes about our children. We struggle to prioritize our own needs because we are so focused on the needs of our children. We need help. To remembers to advocate for ourselves. Ask for help. Look for opportunities to share about our experiences as a mother - whether good or bad - share about pregnancy, labor, delivery, all of it. Get a counselor if you need it. Start a YouTube channel or blog. Talk to family. Give yourself grace because hormones really can make you feel crazy. Lack of sleep can too. And the fact that all your days are blurring into each other right now. You’re normal and amazing. You’re doing such a good job.
