Ratcliff was a minister from the Churches of Christ, who was contacted by Dahmer himself. After several visits and discussions about faith, Dahmer decided to commit to baptism.
It was a day that looked phenomenal for the people in America and even the world. On May 10, 1994, the notorious Milwaukee killer was baptized. The reason that day seemed special is because a total solar eclipse had just occurred. And people believed it to be ominously meaningful — thinking that darkness was being broken by the light. For some, it was a symbol of Dahmer's life realizing the light of God through baptism.
