The Hanging Church in old Coptic Cairo ‎ (Part 1)

I decided to stop for some lunch so i had a traditional Egyptian dish called koshary originally a peasant food for its low price and high Energy, it has become a national dish loved by many.

I then went on to explore Christianity in Egypt by visiting the hanging church.

Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church, also known as the Hanging Church, is one of the oldest churches in Egypt and the history of a church on this site dates to the third century. It belongs to the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria
