Ties to Putin? Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Barak Obama are all Connected Professionally to Putin

Yes, Putin is a mafia style leader who rose to power after the fall of the Soviet Union. However, there are multiple states involved, many different industries, and relationships that interconnect to make the world economy function. So while Putin is a problem...he's been a part of the equation for years. Ties to Putin don't mean instant expulsion from the business world. Even a favorable deal might be warranted if one examines a history of deals. It's easy to dismiss a successful person as having gotten away with something, when we don't know anything about their approach to business, their history or their reputation in their world. Removing a leader in business creates instability. It MIGHT be the right thing to do, but is it? If it's based simply on ties to Putin, that isn't enough. Worse, that exchange of one business leader for another likely degrades quality/performance...THEN introduces new corruption, and more thuggery. And in Dr Ledet's words, "Get us killed."
