The death toll resulting from the wildfires has now surpassed 100. Initially, Andaya had defended the decision, expressing worry that activating sirens could potentially prompt people to move towards the fires. Nevertheless, this decision garnered substantial criticism and ignited a public outcry, leading to demands for accountability. Hawaii residents are asking lots of questions regarding the botched response.
