On August 2, 2023, NASA's TEMPO instrument took the first measurements of nitrogen dioxide pollution levels across North America. The visualisation displays close-ups of the I-95 corridor in the northeastern US, central and eastern Texas to New Orleans, and the southwest from Los Angeles to Las Vegas from six scans conducted hourly between 11:12 a.m. and 5:37 p.m. Missing data indicates cloud cover in certain areas.
