NYC Taxi Drivers on Hunger Strike

New York City Taxi drivers are on a hunger strike. Thousands of drivers are $500K+ in debt after being deceived by the city into buying taxi medallions at up to $1 million a piece. They’ve lost their homes, retirement savings, and some have been driven to suicide. But NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio is pushing a plan to bailout lenders, not drivers.

Correction: The driver identified at 3:22 as Qudratulla Saberry should be identified as Dorina Voiculet Nitescu.
