Dave Ramsey and Mike Rowe have been either lying or DRAMATICALLY exaggerating the pay of the average welder. There absolutely are some opportunities to make money as a welder but they are nowhere near as lucrative as it's been made out to be by the media. As someone who actually is a welder I figured I'd give you a more reasonable expectation of what you can expect.
