However they have kind of went away over the last few years due to production knife companies offering every day carry options that are of superb quality at a lower price point. Most EDC knife makers have realized that and started having their knives done OEM fashion by these companies. this means that it is just cheaper to do the knives that way and offer the consumer more bang for the buck
