The East Lansing Public Library kicked off their summer reading program Sunday afternoon. American Rock band "The Verve Pipe" was there to perform music from their two children's albums. Organizers say this is just the start of encouraging children to read all summer long. About 300 people showed up to the family event. It was free to the public and ended 4 p.m.
