The term "blue moon" traditionally refers to the occurrence of two full moons in a single month, which happens infrequently due to the moon's roughly 29.5-day cycle.

During a super blue moon, the moon appears larger and brighter in the sky compared to a regular full moon because of its closer proximity to Earth. The combination of these factors makes the event visually striking and captivating for sky watchers.
