I Changed My Mind on Dave Ramsey!

So my previous video critiquing Dave Ramsey on mortgage debt generated some controversy. I actually really appreciate Dave Ramsey and the debt freedom philosophy The Dave Ramsey Show has preached to so many people. Dave Ramsey gets a lot right about the horrors of living above your means, and his overall positive impact cannot be discounted!

My intention with my previous video (here: https://youtu.be/9A0l5OCQqic) was to bring a BALANCED and FAIR critique to a small portion of Dave Ramsey's overall philosophy and encourage people who might be struggling with the demands of homeownership in today's market.

Also, I wanted to encourage people to seek out financial advice from professionals who can help them plan for their UNIQUE situations and not rely solely on advice from online influencers. This includes myself!

I don't believe that Dave Ramsey is intentionally misleading or that his advice should be ignored. The problem with online influencers is that, unavoidably, their advice trends towards a "one-size fits all" model that can be consumed by the largest audience possible and ignores the nuances of individual wants, needs, and goals.

So, in a spirit of positive online discourse I decided to make a video about all of the advice from Dave Ramsey that I LOVE. I hope you find this video informing!
