The author of Hebrews says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." We have evidence in Scripture that God answers prayer, so we can have faith that He will answer our prayers. Faith is not knowing God can answer prayer, but rather that God will answer your prayer!
