Adam Walsh disappeared from a Sears Department store in Hollywood, Florida on July 27, 1981. It was feared he was abducted although initial reports by police contridicted that. His severed head was found about 120 miles away a couple of weeks later, in a canal off the interstate.

In 1983 Serial Murderer Ottis Toole confessed to this crime and a later review by investigators confirmed this finding.

Yet, it appears Toole's confession may have not matched the facts known in the case. Did police just want to close the chapter on this dark history of Hollywood, Fl and did Adams parents just accept it as fact to get on with their lives?
