Alec Baldwin Movie Manslaughter Charges Likely Says Prosecutors

Special prosecutors have not decided whether criminal charges will be refiled against Alec Baldwin in the fatal 2021 shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

In the midst of this, Baldwin is actively seeking to prevent crew members from the independent Western film from pursuing legal action against him.

Meanwhile, the trial for armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed has been postponed until next year.

Legal representatives for Alec Baldwin and El Dorado Pictures have submitted a motion to dismiss the civil lawsuit initiated in February by Rust crew members Ross Addiego, Doran Curtin, and Reese Price.

In their lawsuit, these crew members accused Baldwin and the producers of engaging in “negligent and reckless conduct.”

Additionally, the defendants have a pending motion to suspend proceedings until the resolution of the Rust criminal trial, Deadline reported.
