Apollo 13 Views of the Moon

The Apollo 13 mission, launched in 1970, experienced a critical failure in its service module that prevented it from landing on the Moon as originally planned. Instead, the mission performed a "free-return" trajectory around the Moon and returned to Earth without landing.

While Apollo 13 did not land on the Moon, the astronauts on board did capture some images and footage of the Moon from their spacecraft.
