Rescuers in Pakistan managed to free all eight passengers from a dangling cable car on August 22, 2023. The high-risk operation lasted for more than 15 hours to save seven students and a teacher inside the car, which was suspended 274 metres (900ft) above a remote ravine. The accident occurred when the cable car line snapped, leaving it hanging precariously at an angle.
