The studies conducted by psychologist Albert Bandura to test his social learning hypothesis are known collectively as the "Bobo doll experiment."

He observed children's reactions between 1961 and 1963 when they saw an adult model behave violently toward a Bobo the Clown toy.

The most well-known iteration of the experiment evaluated the kids' actions after they witnessed an adult model being praised, reprimanded, or left alone for physically assaulting a Bobo doll.

The experiment's findings will later be used to support the 1980s and 1990s anti-video game movement.

Although seen as contentious, the study wasn't as horrible as the Baby Albert study.
