This is the story of the Mapogos, the six lion brothers who conquered more prides and land than any lion coalition before them.
Their story shows the rarely witnessed dark side of lions, but also the strong bond between male lions.
The Mapogo were an extraordinary band of brothers, lead by their mentor and great leader Makulu.
The Magogos reigned for six years which is a remarkable achievement, considering that the window of male lions to sire cubs is rather short.
Some say they were savage, brutal killers, but at the end of the day they did what male lions are supposed to do... conquer land and prides, sire cubs and defend their territory.
