Will Donald Trump Pick Marjorie Taylor Greene as His VP?
Donald Trump’s massive lead in the GOP primary polls is shifting the conversation into the 2024 race to who will fill out the ticket as Trump’s running mate.

A short list is forming.

And Donald Trump has one trick up his sleeve with this pick for vice president.

Ever since coming to Washington, Marjorie Taylor Greene stood out as one of Donald Trump’s strongest supporters in Congress.

Greene established herself as a voice for America First conservatism by spearheading an effort to stop Joe Biden’s blank check for the war in Ukraine, opposing vaccine and mask mandates, and being the first member of Congress to introduce articles of impeachment against Joe Biden.

That’s why the media and Democrats initiated a smear campaign that resulted in Nancy Pelosi pulling a power play to kick Greene off her committee assignments.

Now that Greene established herself as one of the highest-profile Trump supporters in D.C., there is speculation about her next move.

Democrat Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff is up for re-election in 2026 and a reporter asked Greene if she would be interested in running for that seat.

Greene said she isn’t ready to make a decision on a Senate campaign, but admitted she has her eyes on a bigger prize such as a position in a second Trump administration or even the spot as Trump’s running mate.

“I haven’t made up my mind whether I will do that or not,” Greene began.

“I have a lot of things to think about. Am I going to be a part of President Trump’s Cabinet if he wins? Is it possible that I’ll be VP?” Greene continued.

Greene’s name bubbled into VP speculation over the last several months after reports surfaced that Trump was looking for a running mate who is loyal to him and his agenda and who could capably perform on television.

In talking to reporters Greene claimed it is “an honor” to even be mentioned as a possibility to be named Trump’s running mate and that it is something she would consider “very, very heavily.”

War Room host Steve Bannon previously praised the idea of Greene joining Trump on the ticket.

“This is no shrinking violet. She’s ambitious — she’s not shy about that, nor should she be,” Bannon declared.

“She sees herself on the short list for Trump’s VP. Paraphrasing Cokie Roberts, when MTG looks in the mirror she sees a potential president smiling back,” Bannon concluded.

Donald Trump’s biggest weakness is with suburban female voters in swing states.

Greene represents one of the reddest districts in Georgia.

While Greene checks some of the boxes Trump needs in a vice president, does she check enough?

Trump will have a wide range of possible VP selections should he win the nomination.

And the strong likelihood is that Trump would go in another direction.
