Cloudlifter NOT needed for Shure SM7

Shure Historian, Michael Pettersen, ENDS this debate once and for all in this video clip.

The SM7 has been around since 1972, and for years no one ever had any problems with this mic "not having enough gain" and there were no such things as "cloudlifters" back then, yet the SM7 worked FINE for all of us, no problem with it.

All pro gear and audio mixers and consoles had at least 60db of gain. But now in recent years, poor quality, cheap audio mixers have cut down on the gain, to try and save money.

If you can't get enough level out of your SM7, the problem is not with the mic, the problem is with the cheap mixer or mic input on the device you are using!
