Nowadays kids are always on their phones. Kids are so skilled with modern technology that they can do whatever they want on the internet and with their phones. It must be quite concerning for parents to see their children on their phones all day long at dinner, on the way to school, in fact everywhere. It can be worrisome as some parents would like to know what they are up to and make sure that their children aren’t doing something that they shouldn’t be doing.

You have to be extremely safe on the Internet because anything you say or do can be used against you, especially with identity thefts and hackers going around now. This video will give a list of some key apps that might help parents to become aware of their children’s activities online, or to ensure them that their children are safe on the Internet when browsing with their phones!

The first app this video discusses isn’t one you should have as a parent, but one you should make sure your children have! This app is called Secret Calculator app, it is an app for hiding files or photos in the disguise of a calculator. Although you may be glad to see your child using their calculator app so much be careful as it may be a secret app. When you open the app, it functions like a normal calculator but if you input a secret code it unlocks to show all your hidden files. It can hide pictures, videos, notes, and files and even has a hidden browser for the Internet. You should definitely be aware of this app as you never know what your children could be hiding from you!

The next app is an app that can censor what happens on the phone. This free app called Net Nanny allows you to place restrictions on the device so that your children don’t see anything they shouldn’t be or things you don’t want them to see. This app can keep your child safe and away from adults content, sexual predators, bullying, and bad language. This is a good app to have on mobile devices so that your child doesn’t wander on the Internet and doesn’t stumble on something bad. The app will also give warning to you if your child is searching for things they shouldn’t be searching in the first place. This app is definitely very handy for parents to have!

The final app is called TeenSafe. This allows you to connect to your children’s phones with an account and you can view text messages and deleted text messages. You can see if they are being bullied, harassed, or secretive. This app also allows you to see what site they visited and their activity on other messaging apps. This is useful if you suspect that your child is in danger or if they have broken your trust. Some parents like to give their children some privacy and trust, so this app might be for extreme cases only! One of the best features of this app is to see your child’s locations through their phone’s GPS.

This video gives some great apps to help parents keep their children safe on the Internet! It is a definite must for all parents!
