US-made military speedboat destroyed off Ukrainian coast – Moscow

Russian forces have destroyed a US-made speedboat carrying a Ukrainian amphibious team in the northern Black Sea region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The Ministry was quick to release footage taken from the Russian aircraft that destroyed the boat, showing the plane opening fire as the boat attempted, and failed, to maneuver out of the line of fire.Show more

The incident took place east of Snake Island, and involved a Willard Sea Force watercraft. Many Willard Marine-made boats have been sold to the Ukrainian military both during and in the run up to the conflict with Russia. Snake Island has been a source of contention throughout the conflict with Ukraine, first captured, then relinquished as part of the Black Sea grain deal.
