June 13, 2008 - Tim & Sharon Ubben Share Backstories from DePauw University's Ubben Lecture Series

1958 graduates Tim and Sharon Ubben -- whose 1986 gift created the Ubben Lecture Series at their alma mater. DePauw University -- are joined by Ken Owen '82, coordinator of the series, in an event that took place over Alumni Reunion Weekend. The trio share stores about past guests such as Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair with anedotes about figures like Vladimir Putin and discuss how speakers are selected.

During the program, Owen notifies the audience that Tim Russert had just passed away. Russert was seen in a video history of the Ubben Series that had just been debuted.
