Camilo Menéndez knew Palo Verde had to be sustainable. He explains to Mike Peterson that there were hard times. Building a high end hotel during high murder rates and running a hotel during the lockdowns seemed crazy.
But then... BITCOIN. It was a game changer. Palo Verde embraced Bitcoin.
The demographic of visitors changed dramatically. The number of visitors sky-rocketed.
Camilo Menéndez says he is training local staff from scratch and is committed to educational goals for the community.
