Elon Musk: Platform that is Inclusive and Trusted is Important to Future of Civilization

Elon Musk — the head of Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink and The Boring Company talks about acquiring Twitter with Chris Anderson at TED 2022 on April 14, 2022. Elon Musk said he’s trying to buy Twitter to turn it into a bastion of free speech and reduce “civilizational risk” to freedom and democracy.

"This is not a way to sort of make money, you know. I think this is, it's just that I think this is, my strong intuitive sense is that having a public platform that is maximally trusted and broadly inclusive is extremely important to the future of civilization . . . I don’t care about the economics at all.
