Trump on Georgia indictment: GOP needs to stand tough
During an interview with Kudlow, President Donald Trump reflects on the Georgia indictment and others, calling it a 'witch hunt'.

Larry Kudlow: We're here to talk about the economy, what's gone wrong and how you can fix it. But I do, you know you should have a chance to talk about this crazy Georgia indictment. I know you gave an interview with Fox Digital, it was a good interview. You said you saw darkness, but you also seem to see some optimism and a potential outcome, and I thought we just see what you had to say about that.

Donald Trump: Sure, it's a witch hunt. It's just a continuation of witch hunt. They want to silence in you. They want to silence you. And they mean silence. They are, I think they're sick people. I think they are people that have no idea how the world works, and they have no idea the anger they cause. And we have a tremendous group of people in this country, and I'm not just talking about Republicans. We have them on both sides and we have a lot of them. And when they watch this witch hunt, this disgusting situation where they do it for publicity, where they do fundraisers based on you. She, in her case, and they're all bad, but in her case, because I have four of them now, if you look. I think this is not even possible. Four over the next last couple of months, and frankly it discredits everything, and they're all very similar in the sense that they're, there's no basis for them. We have the presidential records act, which I'm allowed to do.

By the way, this guy [Joe Biden] has probably 20 times more boxes than anybody's ever had. And he's got, and he's done it wrong. But, you know, it just a, it's a very sad thing when you look at it, and then you look at the suppression.

They want to suppress your voice. They don't want you to ever talk about an election. If you talk about an election they want to put you in jail. And a then you say well what about Hillary Clinton, she's been talking about it. What about Stacey Abrams in Georgia, she's still saying she won the governor's election. What about all these other people that have been talking about elections, including a lot of the congressmen that talk big, and then you look back 4 years, or 2 years even, and they're talking about every election that you've ever seen. They try and persuade people that it didn't happen. No, it's a disgraceful thing and Republicans can't get, can't let them get away with it. The Republicans have to be tough. The Republicans are great in many ways, but they don't fight as hard for this stuff. And they have to get a lot tougher and if they don't they're not going to have much of a Republican party. But we have that one under control. It's just suppression, and it's a horrible thing for the country and it's hurting the country very badly, as you understand probably better than most.
