Mom's Diary, July 18th to 22nd - Weevil strikes, fallen apples, seed harvesting

Finally, I found the time to give the tomato plant that was in a too-small pot a new home. It was also immediately provided with a small composting pot to compost in place, ensuring that my plants would receive additional nutrients throughout the entire growth period.
All my sown radish and cabbage plants, as well as the already large nasturtium, were practically destroyed by the cabbage stem weevil. The cabbage stem weevil is a weevil beetle, and supposedly, nasturtium is not "attractive" to it. They must have been close to starving then. Well, that's it for now with cruciferous plants.
In return, there were plenty of fallen apples, which are excellent for making apple cider vinegar. You can also make applesauce from them, but you'll probably need to add some sugar to enhance the flavor.
The landscape somehow looks almost autumnal with the yellowish and already harvested fields. The morning mists also contribute to this impression.
I sowed bush beans again, including the "Bamberger Blaue," which I grow only for propagation and sharing.
It was also time to harvest seeds: fava beans and sugar snap peas. And in the bed, the pre-grown pole beans, runner beans, as well as bush beans found their place. Of course, the cats are always around too.
