Driving the Back Road in Maui - From Kahana to Wailuku

Due to the recent wildfires and road closures, we were forced to take the back road into the West Side of Maui. This is our return drive.

This road is TERRIFYING!! Not joking. Very narrow, or no, shoulders. Narrow one lane roads. Open to both directions of traffic, you have to be careful around curves because somebody might be there!

BUT ... the scenery is beautiful! Wide open vistas of the ocean. Cows in the fields, mountains, lots of greenery. A must-do at least once.

I've left it at normal speed. This road takes at least an hour to drive, and DO NOT drive it at night. There are NO street lights.
