Exploring the Metallic Realm: NASA's Psyche Mission

The NASA Psyche mission, launching in 2023, aims to study the asteroid Psyche—a unique metallic world situated between Mars and Jupiter. Led by Lindy Elkins-Tanton, the spacecraft Psyche will spend 21 months orbiting the asteroid, conducting mapping and research. The mission is managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, with Maxar Technologies contributing the high-power solar electric propulsion spacecraft chassis.
