Japan to release treated wastewater starting Aug 24

Japan said on Tuesday (August 22) that more than one million tons of treated radioactive water will be released starting Thursday (August 24), with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida promising the local fishing industry that authorities will ensure safety and keep their businesses alive.
