Sword & Buckler vs Dane Ax

Great thing about a buckler is that for a small compact shield it still has the ability to block battle field weapons like a Dane Ax.

Fighting here at full power and full speed. With the buckler, I close in to block the Ax at halft before it has time to fully accelerate. I double block with buckler and sword for extra strength.

Ax counters my block with the attempt to hook down and follow up with a ax thrust. He pinned my sword againt my bucker in the process.

I close in and raise the Buckler to counter the Ax hook and thrust. Pull sword free out of the bind. Then throw sword combinations with free weapon.
